Product Format | Liquid. PBS (pH 7.4), 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Host | Rabbit |
Application | WB, IHC, IF, ICC |
:: | Function: Has E3 ubiquitin ligase activity towards IGBP1, promoting its monoubiquitination, which results in deprotection of the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase PP2A, and its subsequent degradation by polyubiquitination. Subcellular Location: Cytoplasm, Cytoskeleton, Spindle, Note:Microtubule-associated. It is associated with microtubules throughout the cell cycle, co-localizing with cytoplasmic fibers in interphase and with the mitotic spindle and midbodies during mitosis and cytokinesis. Tissue Specificity: In the fetus, highest expression found in kidney, followed by brain and lung. Expressed at low levels in fetal liver. In the adult, most abundant in heart, placenta and brain. |

Gene Full Name | midline 1 |
Alias Symbols | OS, FXY, OSX, OGS1, XPRF, BBBG1, GBBB1, MIDIN, RNF59, ZNFXY, TRIM18 |
NCBI Gene Id | 4281 |
Description of Target | MID1 may have E3 ubiquitin ligase activity which targets the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 2 for degradation. Belongs to the TRIM/RBCC family. A retroviral element acts as an alternative tissue- specific promoter for this gene. The LTR of an HERV-E element enhances the expression in placenta and embryonic kidney. Homodimer or heterodimer with MID2. Interacts with IGBP1. Two isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |
