Job Title: Customer Service Representative II
Aviva Systems Biology is a fast paced, mid stage life sciences research tools company located in San Diego, CA. We commercialize life science tools and reagents for research, drug discovery, and diagnostics.

How will you make an impact?
This is a customer-facing role where you will be able to answer questions regarding the catalog products, process customer orders, provide order updates, and support other general customer service inquiries. This position is ideal for someone with previous experience in customer service and order entry.
What will you do?
- Enter customer orders, with a high degree of accuracy, from email, phone, fax, and website into ERP database system.
- Check product lot information, product availability, and enter any customer specifications for order fulfillment.
- Proactively respond to non-technical inquiries related to order status, delivery information on current and previous shipments, invoices and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Support customer requests for MSDS, data sheets, and general product information.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- 2+ years customer service experience, preferably in a life science reagent or biotech company.
- 2+ years order processing or data entry.
- Experience with ERP and ticketing systems, ideally NetSuite and Freshdesk.
- High sense of urgency to support customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- High attention to detail – accuracy is essential to success.
- Strong oral and written communication skills/
- Ability to engage with customers in a professional manner.

How will you make an impact?
The product data analyst will manage Aviva’s catalog of over 500,000 life science tools and reagents. Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of experience working with large databases. This role will ultimately manage upkeep and integrity of all SaaS and internal databases
This is a highly collaborative role which will interface with cross-functional departments to support business reporting needs. Clear communication skills and careful execution with attention to details are a must. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a highly focused team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain integrity of Aviva’s product catalog and manage updates for over 500k items.
- Ensure integrity of data flowing between web and ERP, optimize process and workflows
- Manage product data image uploads and understand image requirements.
- Manage pipeline for vendor updates, pricing updates, and new product launches.
- Develop workflow to synchronize product data across multiple discrete databases.
- Execute data queries across multiple data sources to support business reporting needs.

Education:
- B.A./B.S. in Computer Sciences, or other technical discipline
Experience:
- 3+ years product data management experience.
- Demonstrated experience building and handling large data sets from various sources.
- Experience with Magento 2 and NetSuite ERP a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Clear communicator who can articulate complex data concepts and strategies to stakeholders of all levels and experience.
- Strong quantitative skills with hands on experience analyzing large amounts of data.
