  Product Introduction: Chitinases catalyze the hydrolysis of chitin, which is an abundant glycopolymer found in insect exoskeletons and fungal cell walls. The glycoside hydrolase 18 family of chitinases includes 8 human family members. CHI3L1 is a glycoprotein member of the glycosyl hydrolase 18 family. CHI3L1 lacks chitinase activity and is secreted by activated macrophages, chondrocytes, neutrophils and synovial cells. CHI3L1 is thought to play a role in the process of inflammation and tissue remodeling.
• Reconstitution and Storage: For periods up to 1 month store at 4C, for longer periods of time, store at -20C. Prevent freeze thaw cycles.

• Immunogen: The immunogen for anti-CHI3L1 antibody: anti-human CHI3L1 mAb, is derived from hybridization of mouse F0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human CHI3L1 amino acids 22-383 purified from E. coli.
