Additional InformationFunction: Calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) which plays a role in transepithelial anion transport and smooth muscle contraction. Required for the normal functioning of the interstitial cells of Cajal (ICCs) which generate electrical pacemaker activity in gastrointestinal smooth muscles. Acts as a major contributor to basal and stimulated chloride conductance in airway epithelial cells and plays an important role in tracheal cartilage development.
Cellular Location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cytoplasm. Note=Cytoplasmic localization seen in neoplastic cells of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) tumors
Tissue Location: Broadly expressed with higher levels in liver, skeletal muscle and gastrointestinal muscles
Reconstitution and StorageMaintain refrigerated at 2-8C for up to 2 weeks. For long term storage store at -20C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
ImmunogenThis ANO1 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 453-482 amino acids from the Central region of human ANO1.
PurificationThis antibody is purified through a protein A column, followed by peptide affinity purification
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceHuman
ConcentrationApproximately 0.5mg/ml. Actual concentration varies with each lot.
Intended UseANO1 Antibody (Center) is for research use only and not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
