ELISA Kit Principle | The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Specificity | This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Calcium Channel, Voltage Dependent, T-Type, Alpha 1H Subunit (CACNa1H) and analogues was observed.

Alias Symbols | Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha Cav3.2. |

Protein Name | Voltage-dependent T-type calcium channel subunit alpha-1H |
Description of Target | Voltage-sensitive calcium channel that gives rise to T-type calcium currents. T-type calcium channels belong to the "low-voltage activated (LVA)" group. A particularity of this type of channel is an opening at quite negative potentials, and a voltage-dependent inactivation. T-type channels serve pacemaking functions in both central neurons and cardiac nodal cells and support calcium signaling in secretory cells and vascular smooth muscle. They may also be involved in the modulation of firing patterns of neurons. In the adrenal zona glomerulosa, participates in the signaling pathway leading to aldosterone production in response to either AGT/angiotensin II, or hyperkalemia. |
