Description of Target |
ACE2 belongs to the angiotensin-converting enzyme family of dipeptidyl carboxydipeptidases and has considerable homology to human angiotensin 1 converting enzyme. This secreted protein catalyzes the cleavage of angiotensin I into angiotensin 1-9, and angiotensin II into the vasodilator angiotensin 1-7. The organ- and cell-specific expression of this gene suggests that it may play a role in the regulation of cardiovascular and renal function, as well as fertility. In addition, the encoded protein is a functional receptor for the spike glycoprotein of the human coronaviruses SARS and HCoV-NL63. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the angiotensin-converting enzyme family of dipeptidyl carboxydipeptidases and has considerable homology to human angiotensin 1 converting enzyme. This protein catalyzes the cleavage of angiotensin I into angiotensin 1-9. The organ- and cell-specific expression of this gene suggests that it may play a role in the regulation of cardiovascular and renal function, as well as fertility. | Surface Plasmon Resonance Kinetic Characterization of Polyclonal Antibody Affinity. Purified polyclonal antibodies were immobilized on a Protein A/G coated Carterra LSA sensor chip (PAGH200M) at concentrations of 5, and 50 ug/mL in duplicate. Antibodies on the surface were exposed to interaction with peptides sequentially via microfluidic controlled flow at 333nM peptide concentration for kinetic characterization of the binders for affinity and specificity, followed by curve fitting using the Kinetics software. Kd determinations for both concentrations were averaged and results and standard deviation are shown.
