Human PAPP-A antigen purified from placental blood is a heterotetrameric complex, consisting of two PAPP-A subunits and two pro-MBP subunits). Human PAPP-A antigen purified from atherosclerotic plaques is homodimeric consisting of 2 PAPP-A subunits. |

Detection of human htPAPP-A antigen in immunoassay and immunoprecipitation. Recognizes proMBP subunit in Western blot. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
