Description of Target | ZBTB4 (UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot entry Q9P1Z0) is a KAISO like protein which binds to methylated DNA and regulates the transcription of methylated targets. Unlike KAISO, ZBTB4 is able to bind to single methylated CpG’s. ZBTB4 acts as a transcriptional repressor protein and has been shown to be downregulated in the advanced stage of different tumours. |
