Various whole cell extracts (30 ug) were separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with 14-3-3 gamma antibody diluted at 1:1000 and competitor's antibody (SC-731) diluted by 1:200. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

• Description of Target: This gene product belongs to the 14-3-3 family of proteins which mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. It is induced by growth factors in human vascular smooth muscle cells, and is also highly expressed in skeletal and heart muscles, suggesting an important role for this protein in muscle tissue.
