Datasheets/ManualsPrintable datasheet for anti-WWOX (ARP61393_P050-Biotin) antibody
Product Info
Predicted Species ReactivityHuman
Product FormatLiquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer.
ClonalityPolyclonal
HostRabbit
ConjugationBiotin
ApplicationWB
Reconstitution and StorageAll conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
ImmunogenThe immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N-terminal region of Human WWOX
PurificationAffinity Purified
Peptide SequenceSynthetic peptide located within the following region: EKTQWEHPKTGKRKRVAGDLPYGWEQETDENGQVFFVDHINKRTTYLDPR

Alias SymbolsFOR, WOX1, DEE28, EIEE28, FRA16D, SCAR12, HHCMA56, PRO0128, SDR41C1, D16S432E
NCBI Gene Id51741
Description of TargetThis gene encodes a member of the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) protein family. This gene spans the FRA16D common chromosomal fragile site and appears to function as a tumor suppressor gene. Expression of the encoded protein is able to induce apoptosis, while defects in this gene are associated with multiple types of cancer. Disruption of this gene is also associated with autosomal recessive spinocerebellar ataxia 12. Disruption of a similar gene in mouse results in impaired steroidogenesis, additionally suggesting a metabolic function for the protein. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
