KPNA4 antibody western blot

KPNA4 antibody Mouse 2A cells

What applications did you test Aviva’s reagents in?

The antibody was tested in western blotting experiments.

How many different experimental trials were conducted?

The antibody were tested in 2 different experimental trials.

Were controls were used in your experiment? If so, what were they?

For KPNA4, a Santa Cruz antibodies (QIP1 (G15, K15, P15)) were compared in parallel. Western blotting with those antibodies resulted in bands corresponding to 65-75Kd, while the expected sizes of 57Kd was detected with the Aviva antibody, along with other close bands.

How did you store the antibody after re-suspension?

4 degrees C.

How would you rate this antibody on a scale from 1-5? Why?

4 : A bit week efficiency, however most likely detects proper protein in WB.

Would you use this antibody in future experiments or to publish your data? Why or why not?

Perhaps. Need to compare results with San Cruz antibody which seems stronger and detecting a single band.

Have you used another antibody which has worked in your application? From who?

Santa Cruz antibodies (QIP1 (G15, K15, P15)).

Do you believe the information about the reagent on Aviva’s website is correct?

Please explain any problems you had with the antibody and/or experimental results that Aviva can address in the future.

Multiple bands that were detected with this antibody at ~50Kd. Perhaps these are real and a result of modifications.
