Gene Symbol | TNFRSF10B |
---|---|
Gene Full Name | TNF receptor superfamily member 10b |
Alias Symbols | apoptosis inducing protein TRICK2A/2B;apoptosis inducing receptor TRAIL-R2;CD262;cytotoxic TRAIL receptor-2;death domain containing receptor for TRAIL/Apo-2L;death receptor 5;DR5;Fas-like protein;KILLER;KILLER/DR5;p53-regulated DNA damage-inducible cell death receptor(killer);TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand receptor 2;TRAILR2;TRAIL-R2;TRICK2;TRICK2A;TRICK2B;TRICKB;tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 10B;tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 10b;tumor necrosis factor receptor-like protein ZTNFR9;ZTNFR9. |
NCBI Gene Id | 8795 |
Protein Name | Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 10B |
Description of Target | Receptor for the cytotoxic ligand TNFSF10/TRAIL (PubMed:10549288). The adapter molecule FADD recruits caspase-8 to the activated receptor. The resulting death-inducing signaling complex (DISC) performs caspase-8 proteolytic activation which initiates the subsequent cascade of caspases (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) mediating apoptosis. Promotes the activation of NF-kappa-B. Essential for ER stress-induced apoptosis. |
