ApplicationEnzyme-linked Immunosorbent assay-Sandwich
ELISA Kit Detection MethodColormetric|Regular detection
ELISA Kit Duration3h
ELISA Kit PrincipleThe test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGFb3). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGFb3). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGFb3), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGFb3) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
ELISA Kit Range15.62-1,000pg/mL
ELISA Kit ReproducibilityIntra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGFb3) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Transforming Growth Factor Beta 3 (TGFb3) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene SymbolTGFB3
Gene Full Nametransforming growth factor beta 3
Alias SymbolsTGF-B3; LAP; Latency-associated peptide
NCBI Gene Id100051765
Protein Nametransforming growth factor beta-3
Description of TargetThis gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate a latency-associated peptide (LAP) and a mature peptide, and is found in either a latent form composed of a mature peptide homodimer, a LAP homodimer, and a latent TGF-beta binding protein, or in an active form consisting solely of the mature peptide homodimer. The mature peptide may also form heterodimers with other TGF-beta family members. This protein is involved in embryogenesis and cell differentiation, and may play a role in wound healing. Mutations in this gene are a cause of aortic aneurysms and dissections, as well as familial arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia 1.
