  Product Introduction: TFAM is a mitochondrial transcription factor which is a main activator of mitochondrial transcription and is also a participant in mitochondrial genome replication. TFAM is situated primarily in the nuclei of elongated spermatids and takes part in the regulation of gene expression of the haploid male genome. TFAM is linked to mitochondrial disorder in humans characterized by ocular myopathy, exercise intolerance and muscle wasting.
  Product Description: TFAM produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 225 amino acids (43-246.a.a) and having a molecular mass of 26.6kDa. TFAM is fused to a 21 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
• Reconstitution and Storage: Store at 4C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze thaw cycles.
• Purity: Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
