Datasheets/Manuals | Printable datasheet for anti-TAF1C (ARP57920_P050-HRP) antibody |
---|
Predicted Species Reactivity | Human, Mouse, Rat, Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse |
---|---|
Product Format | Liquid. Purified antibody is supplied in high phosphate PBS, 100 mm phosphate, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.6. |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Host | Rabbit |
Conjugation | HRP: Horseradish Peroxidase |
Application | WB |
Reconstitution and Storage | All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding. |
Immunogen | The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human TAF1C |
Purification | Affinity Purified |
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen Sequence | Cow: 93%; Dog: 86%; Guinea Pig: 93%; Horse: 93%; Human: 100%; Mouse: 77%; Rat: 93% |

Gene Symbol | TAF1C |
Gene Full Name | TATA box binding protein (TBP)-associated factor, RNA polymerase I, C, 110kDa |
Alias Symbols | SL1, TAFI95, TAFI110, MGC:39976 |
NCBI Gene Id | 9013 |
Protein Name | TATA box-binding protein-associated factor RNA polymerase I subunit C |
Description of Target | Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase I requires the formation of a complex composed of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and three TBP-associated factors (TAFs) specific for RNA polymerase I. This complex, known as SL1, binds to the core promoter of ribosomal RNA genes to position the polymerase properly and acts as a channel for regulatory signals. TAF1C is the largest SL1-specific TAF. This complex, known as SL1, binds to the core promoter of ribosomal RNA genes to position the polymerase properly and acts as a channel for regulatory signals. This gene encodes the largest SL1-specific TAF. Two transcripts encoding different isoforms have been identified. |
