PurificationAffinity Purified
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceVirus
Concentration1 mg/ml
Blocking PeptideFor anti-Swine H1N1 Neuraminidase (OAPB00918) antibody is Catalog # OEPB02983
SpecificityThis antibody is specific for the novel swine influenza neuraminidase and will not recognize the corresponding neuraminidase sequence from the seasonal H1N1 influenza (A/Georgia/20/2006 (H1N1)).
Application InfoNeuraminidase antibody can be used for the detection of the Neuraminidase protein from the H1N1 strain of swine influenza A in ELISA. It will detect 2 ng of free peptide at 1 ug/ml and will not cross-react with peptide corresponding to the seasonal influenza (H1N1) Neuraminidase. (Optimal dilution should be determined by user)
Other Applications Image 1 DataELISA results using Swine H1N1 Neuraminidase antibody at 1 ug/mL and the blocking and corresponding peptides at 50, 10, 2 and 0 ng/ml.

Gene SymbolSwine H1N1 Neuraminidase
Gene Full NameNeuraminidase
Protein NameNeuraminidase|neuraminidase [Influenza A virus (A/California/14/2009(H1N1))]
Description of TargetCatalyzes the removal of terminal sialic acid residues from viral and cellular glycoconjugates. Cleaves off the terminal sialic acids on the glycosylated HA during virus budding to facilitate virus release. Additionally helps virus spread through the circulation by further removing sialic acids from the cell surface. These cleavages prevent self-aggregation and ensure the efficient spread of the progeny virus from cell to cell. Otherwise, infection would be limited to one round of replication. Described as a receptor-destroying enzyme because it cleaves a terminal sialic acid from the cellular receptors. May facilitate viral invasion of the upper airways by cleaving the sialic acid moities on the mucin of the airway epithelial cells. Likely to plays a role in the budding process through its association with lipid rafts during intracellular transport. May additionally display a raft-association independent effect on budding. Plays a role in the determination of host range restriction on replication and virulence. Sialidase activity in late endosome/lysosome traffic seems to enhance virus replication.
