Predicted Species ReactivityHuman, Mouse, Rat, Cow, Dog, Pig, Rabbit, Zebrafish
Product FormatLiquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer.
ClonalityPolyclonal
HostRabbit
ConjugationBiotin
ApplicationCHIP, WB
Reconstitution and StorageAll conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
ImmunogenThe immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human SRF
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceCow: 100%; Dog: 100%; Human: 100%; Mouse: 100%; Pig: 100%; Rabbit: 100%; Rat: 100%; Zebrafish: 100%
Peptide SequenceSynthetic peptide located within the following region: ATGGYGPVSGAVSGAKPGKKTRGRVKIKMEFIDNKLRRYTTFSKRKTGIM

Gene SymbolSRF
Gene Full NameSerum response factor (c-fos serum response element-binding transcription factor)
Alias SymbolsMCM1
NCBI Gene Id6722
Protein NameSerum response factor
Description of TargetSRF is a ubiquitous nuclear protein that stimulates both cell proliferation and differentiation. It is a member of the MADS (MCM1, Agamous, Deficiens, and SRF) box superfamily of transcription factors. This protein binds to the serum response element (SRE) in the promoter region of target genes. This protein regulates the activity of many immediate-early genes, for example c-fos, and thereby participates in cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, cell growth, and cell differentiation. This gene is the downstream target of many pathways; for example, the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway (MAPK) that acts through the ternary complex factors (TCFs).
