Hela (1.1*10e6) were cross-linked with formaldehyde, sonicated, and immunoprecipitated with 4ug anti-BRM or a control normal rabbit IgG. The resulting ChIP DNA was quantified using real-time PCR with primers against the ESR1 pS2 promoter.

• Description of Target: Involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). Component of SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes that carry out key enzymatic activities, changing chromatin structure by altering DNA-histone contacts within a nucleosome in an ATP-dependent manner.
