• Product Format: Liquid 30X PBS with no azide
• Application: FC
• Reconstitution and Storage: For use under sterile sorting conditions, filter the 1X sheath fluid with a 0.22 um filter prior to use. It is recommended to use the diluted sheath fluid within 1 month. Store at 18-25°C. Expires 6 months from date of receipt. Do not freeze.
• Dilution: Sheath fluid is provided as a 30X solution and must be diluted to 1X prior to use. To prepare 20 L of 1X Sheath fluid, pour entire contents into a clean 20 L container and add dH2O to a final 20 L volume. For cytometers with smaller sheath tanks, add 100 mL of 30X Sheath fluid to 2900 mL of dH2O to make up to 3 L to 1X Sheath fluid. Add the 1X Sheath fluid to a clean sheath tank. Filtered dH2O is recommended for use as the diluent.

• Description of Target: Sheath Fluid (30X) is a pre-filtered, pH balanced phosphate buffered saline solution that can be used for transporting particles though any flow cytometer. This concentrated formula is easily prepared, uses less storage space and costs less to ship than conventional 20 L containers. Each bottle provides sufficient concentrate to prepare 20 liters of 1x sheath fluid.
