ELISA Kit Principle | The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Serum Deprivation Response Protein (SDPR). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Serum Deprivation Response Protein (SDPR). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Serum Deprivation Response Protein (SDPR), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Serum Deprivation Response Protein (SDPR) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Serum Deprivation Response Protein (SDPR) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Serum Deprivation Response Protein (SDPR) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Name | caveolae associated protein 2 |
Alias Symbols | caveolae-associated protein 2;cavin-2;phosphatidylserine-binding protein;PS-p68;SDPR;SDR;serum deprivation response;serum deprivation-response protein. |
NCBI Gene Id | 8436 |
Protein Name | Caveolae-associated protein 2 |
Description of Target | Plays an important role in caveolar biogenesis and morphology. Regulates caveolae morphology by inducing membrane curvature within caveolae (PubMed:19525939). Plays a role in caveola formation in a tissue-specific manner. Required for the formation of caveolae in the lung and fat endothelia but not in the heart endothelia. Negatively regulates the size or stability of CAVIN complexes in the lung endothelial cells. May play a role in targeting PRKCA to caveolae (By similarity). |
