Name |
LightOn Anti-Fade Mounting Media for Immunofluorescence ICC & IHC (OOMB00002) |
Product Format |
Liquid containing glycerol, which is a viscous reagent. To facilitate its aspiration and dispensing, it is recommended to trim the ends of pipette tips to make wider opening. |
Description of Target |
LightOn is a ready to use glycerol-based mounting medium. |
Reconstitution and Storage |
LightOn media has to be stored in a freezer at -20°C or below. To use the medium, remove the vial from the freezer and warm it up by keeping it for 5-7 minutes at room temperature. Avoid exposing LightOn medium to direct bright light. After mounting stained tissue sections on histological slides, store them in a freezer in a horizontal position to avoid leakage of mounting medium, which does not harden over time and remains liquid. LightOn is stable for up to one year when stored at -20°C. Mounted stain specimens retain their fluorescence for up to one year when stored in a freezer at -20°C, protected from light. |

Application Info |
LightOn can be used for both IHC and ICC on tissue sections/cytosmears and fixed cells in culture chamber slides. LightOn medium can be used either "as-is" or mixed with DAPI and similar cell nuclei fluorescence counterstains. |
Warning |
Use PPE when working with LightOn and avoid getting it into the mouth, eyes, and on the skin. |
Application |
ICC, IHC |
Image 1 | Mounted under conventional aqueous mounting media
| Exposure to fluorescent light on the microscope causes fading of the fluorophore |
