This gene encodes a Rho-GTPase-activating protein that promotes GTP hydrolysis of Rho subfamily members. Mutations in this gene are responsible for OPHN1-related X-linked mental retardation with cerebellar hypoplasia and distinctive facial dysmorhphism. |
