PTK2B Antibody - middle region : FITC (ARP74156_P050-FITC)
Datasheets/Manuals | Printable datasheet for anti-PTK2B (ARP74156_P050-FITC) antibody |
---|
Predicted Species Reactivity | Human |
---|---|
Product Format | Liquid. Purified antibody supplied in 1x PBS buffer. |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Host | Rabbit |
Conjugation | FITC: Fluorescein Isothiocyanate |
Application | WB |
Reconstitution and Storage | All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding. |
Immunogen | The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the middle region of Human FAK2 |
Purification | Affinity purified |
Peptide Sequence | Synthetic peptide located within the following region: TPKILEPTAFQEPPPKPSRPKYRPPPQTNLLAPKLQFQEEDFIQPSSREE |
Concentration | 0.5 mg/ml |
Blocking Peptide | For anti-PTK2B (ARP74156_P050-FITC) antibody is Catalog # AAP74156 |

Protein Name | protein-tyrosine kinase 2-beta |
Description of Target | This gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinase which is involved in calcium-induced regulation of ion channels and activation of the map kinase signaling pathway. The encoded protein may represent an important signaling intermediate between neuropeptide-activated receptors or neurotransmitters that increase calcium flux and the downstream signals that regulate neuronal activity. The encoded protein undergoes rapid tyrosine phosphorylation and activation in response to increases in the intracellular calcium concentration, nicotinic acetylcholine receptor activation, membrane depolarization, or protein kinase C activation. This protein has been shown to bind CRK-associated substrate, nephrocystin, GTPase regulator associated with FAK, and the SH2 domain of GRB2. The encoded protein is a member of the FAK subfamily of protein tyrosine kinases but lacks significant sequence similarity to kinases from other subfamilies. Four transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. |
