Reconstitution and StorageAll conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
ImmunogenThe immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the C terminal region of human PCNA
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceCow: 100%; Dog: 100%; Human: 100%; Mouse: 100%; Rat: 100%; Zebrafish: 91%
Peptide SequenceSynthetic peptide located within the following region: LNFFTKATPLSSTVTLSMSADVPLVVEYKIADMGHLKYYLAPKIEDEEGS

Protein NameProliferating cell nuclear antigen
Description of TargetPCNA is an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase delta and is involved in the control of eukaryotic DNA replication by increasing the polymerase's processibility during elongation of the leading strand. The protein encoded by this gene is found in the nucleus and is a cofactor of DNA polymerase delta. The encoded protein acts as a homotrimer and helps increase the processivity of leading strand synthesis during DNA replication. In response to DNA damage, this protein is ubiquitinated and is involved in the RAD6-dependent DNA repair pathway. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. Pseudogenes of this gene have been described on chromosome 4 and on the X chromosome.
