ELISA Kit Principle | The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to N-Ethylmaleimide Sensitive Factor (NSF). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to N-Ethylmaleimide Sensitive Factor (NSF). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain N-Ethylmaleimide Sensitive Factor (NSF), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of N-Ethylmaleimide Sensitive Factor (NSF) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level N-Ethylmaleimide Sensitive Factor (NSF) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level N-Ethylmaleimide Sensitive Factor (NSF) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Name | N-ethylmaleimide sensitive factor, vesicle fusing ATPase |
Alias Symbols | DEE96;epididymis secretory sperm binding protein;NEM-sensitive fusion protein;N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor-like protein;N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein;SEC18;SKD2;vesicle-fusing ATPase;vesicular-fusion protein NSF. |
NCBI Gene Id | 4905 |
Protein Name | Vesicle-fusing ATPase |
Description of Target | Required for vesicle-mediated transport. Catalyzes the fusion of transport vesicles within the Golgi cisternae. Is also required for transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi stack. Seems to function as a fusion protein required for the delivery of cargo proteins to all compartments of the Golgi stack independent of vesicle origin. Interaction with AMPAR subunit GRIA2 leads to influence GRIA2 membrane cycling (By similarity). |
