Additional Information | Description: CD45RA is a 220 kDa exon A-dependent isoform of CD45. It is expressed on 40-50% of CD4+ peripheral T cells, 50% of peripheral CD8+ T cells, and a portion of B lymphocytes and monocytes. |
Reconstitution and Storage | Store at 2-8C |
Immunogen | Purified lymphocytes from human lymph nodes |
Concentration | Lot specific |
Specificity | CD45RA |
Characterization | To insure lot- to- lot consistency, each batch of product is tested by flow cytometry to conform with thecharacteristics of a standard reference reagent. |
Warning | Reagents contain sodium azide which is very toxic if ingested or inhaled. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, orclothing. Wear eye or face protection when handling. If skin or eye contact occurs, wash with copiousamounts of water. If ingested or inhaled, contact a physician immediately. Sodium azide yields toxichydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide- containing compounds in running water beforediscarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in lead or copper plumbing. |

Description of Target | The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitosis, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains an extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment and two tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains, and thus is classified as a receptor type PTP. This PTP has been shown to be an essential regulator of T- and B-cell antigen receptor signaling. It functions through either direct interaction with components of the antigen receptor complexes, or by activating various Src family kinases required for the antigen receptor signaling. This PTP also suppresses JAK kinases, and thus functions as a regulator of cytokine receptor signaling. Alternatively spliced transcripts variants of this gene, which encode distinct isoforms, have been reported. |
