ELISA Kit Detection Method | Chemiluminescent
ELISA Kit Duration | 2h, 40min
ELISA Kit Principle | The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Methionine Adenosyltransferase I Alpha (MAT1a). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Methionine Adenosyltransferase I Alpha (MAT1a). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Methionine Adenosyltransferase I Alpha (MAT1a) level in the sample or standard.
ELISA Kit Range | 68.6-50,000pg/mL
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Methionine Adenosyltransferase I Alpha (MAT1a) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Methionine Adenosyltransferase I Alpha (MAT1a) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Alias Symbols | AdoMet;adoMet synthase 1;adoMet synthetase 1;MAT 1;MAT-I/III;methionine adenosyltransferase 1;methionine adenosyltransferase I, alpha;methionine adenosyltransferase I/III;S - adenosylmethionine synthetase;SADE;S-adenosylmethionine synthase isoform type-1;SAS. |
NCBI Gene Id | 25331 |
Protein Name | S-adenosylmethionine synthase isoform type-1 |
Description of Target | Catalyzes the formation of S-adenosylmethionine from methionine and ATP. The reaction comprises two steps that are both catalyzed by the same enzyme: formation of S-adenosylmethionine (AdoMet) and triphosphate, and subsequent hydrolysis of the triphosphate. |
