ELISA Kit Duration3h
ELISA Kit PrincipleThe test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Leucine Rich PPR Motif Containing Protein (LRPPRC). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Leucine Rich PPR Motif Containing Protein (LRPPRC). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Leucine Rich PPR Motif Containing Protein (LRPPRC), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Leucine Rich PPR Motif Containing Protein (LRPPRC) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
ELISA Kit Range0.312-20ng/mL
ELISA Kit ReproducibilityIntra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Leucine Rich PPR Motif Containing Protein (LRPPRC) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Leucine Rich PPR Motif Containing Protein (LRPPRC) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Nameleucine rich pentatricopeptide repeat containing
Alias SymbolsLSFC, GP130, LRP130, MC4DN5, CLONE-23970
NCBI Gene Id10128
Protein NameLeucine-rich PPR motif-containing protein, mitochondrial
Description of TargetThis gene encodes a leucine-rich protein that has multiple pentatricopeptide repeats (PPR). The precise role of this protein is unknown but studies suggest it may play a role in cytoskeletal organization, vesicular transport, or in transcriptional regulation of both nuclear and mitochondrial genes. The protein localizes primarily to mitochondria and is predicted to have an N-terminal mitochondrial targeting sequence. Mutations in this gene are associated with the French-Canadian type of Leigh syndrome.
