ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology KCNN2 ELISA Kit (Human) (OKDD00355) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay methodology. An antibody for KCNN2 has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips). Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for KCNN2 is added, incubated and removed. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample KCNN2 captured in well.
ELISA Kit Range | 0.156-10ng/mL
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level KCNN2 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level KCNN2 were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12% | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Gene Full Name | potassium calcium-activated channel subfamily N member 2 |
Alias Symbols | apamin-sensitive small-conductance Ca2+-activated potassium channel;hSK2;KCa2.2;potassium channel, calcium activated intermediate/small conductance subfamily N alpha, member 2;potassium intermediate/small conductance calcium-activated channel, subfamily N, member 2;SK2;SKCa 2;SKCA2;small conductance calcium-activated potassium channel 2;small conductance calcium-activated potassium channel protein 2. |
NCBI Gene Id | 3781 |
Protein Name | Small conductance calcium-activated potassium channel protein 2 |
Description of Target | Forms a voltage-independent potassium channel activated by intracellular calcium. Activation is followed by membrane hyperpolarization. Thought to regulate neuronal excitability by contributing to the slow component of synaptic afterhyperpolarization. The channel is blocked by apamin. |
