Datasheets/ManualsPrintable datasheet for anti-IRF3 (OASG03961) antibody
Product Info
Predicted Species ReactivityHuman
Product FormatLiquid PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide.
ClonalityPolyclonal
IsotypeIgG
HostRabbit
ApplicationWB, IHC, IF
::Cellular Localization: Cytoplasm Nucleus Note=Shuttles between cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments, with export being the prevailing effect. When activated, IRF3 interaction with CREBBP prevents its export to the cytoplasm.
Tissue Specificity: Expressed constitutively in a variety of tissues.
Reconstitution and StorageStore at -20C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
ImmunogenSynthesized peptide derived from human IRF-3 around the phosphorylation site of S385. Location: 320-400aa.
PurificationThe antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Concentration1 mg/ml
Target Post-Translational ModificationPhospho-Ser385
SpecificityPhospho-IRF-3 (S385) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of IRF-3 protein only when phosphorylated at S385.
Application InfoWB: 1:500~2000
IHC: 1:100~300
IF: 1:200~1000
ELISA: 1:10000
Gene SymbolIRF3
Gene Full Nameinterferon regulatory factor 3
Alias SymbolsIIAE7
NCBI Gene Id3661;
Description of TargetIRF-3 is a protein encoded by the IRF3 gene which is approximately 47,2 kDa. IRF-3 is localised to the cytoplasm and nucleus. It is involved in activated TLR4 signalling and toll-like receptor signalling pathway. This protein falls under the interferon regulatory transcription factor family. It is found in an inactive form in the cytoplasm that upon serine/threonine phosphorylation forms a complex with CREBBP. This complex is then translocated to the nucleus where it activates the transcription of interferons alpha and beta, as well as other interferon-induced genes. IRF-3 is expressed constitutively in a variety of tissues. Mutations in the IRF3 gene may be involved in herpes simplex encephalitis. STJ91040 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous IRF-3 protein which only binds about S385 when S385 is phosphorylated.
