Product Info
Predicted Species ReactivityInfluenza A Virus|Virus
Product FormatLiquid. Avian Influenza Hemagglutinin 1 Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
ClonalityPolyclonal
HostGoat
ConjugationUnconjugated
ApplicationEnzyme-linked immunosorbent assay
::Buffer: Antibody is supplied in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Reconstitution and StorageAvian Influenza Hemagglutinin 1 antibody can be stored at 4C, stable for one year. As with all antibodies care should be taken to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. Antibodies should not be exposed to prolonged high temperatures.
ImmunogenAvian Influenza H5N1 Hemagglutinin (IN3) Antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to 14 amino acids in the middle of the Avian Influenza Hemagglutinin 1 protein. Efforts were made to use relatively conserved regions of the viral sequence as the antigen. The immunogen is located within amino acids 320 - 370 of Avian Influenza H5N1 Hemagglutinin (IN3) Antibody.
PurificationAffinity Purified
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceVirus
Concentration1 mg/ml
Blocking PeptideFor anti-HA (OAPB00450) antibody is Catalog # OEPB02562
Application InfoAvian Influenza Hemagglutinin 1 antibody can be used for the detection of the Avian Influenza Hemagglutinin 1 protein from the H5N1 strain of avian influenza A in ELISA. It will detect 10 ng of free peptide at 1 ug/ml. (Optimal dilution should be determined by user)
Other Applications Image 1 DataHemagglutinin antibody at 1 ug/mL specifically recognizes Avian H5N1 influenza virus but not seasonal influenza virus A H1N1 Hemagglutinin protein.

Gene SymbolHA
Gene Full NameHemagglutinin
Protein NameHemagglutinin|hemagglutinin [Influenza A virus (A/chicken/Jilin/9/2004(H5N1))]
Description of TargetBinds to sialic acid-containing receptors on the cell surface, bringing about the attachment of the virus particle to the cell. This attachment induces virion internalization either through clathrin-dependent endocytosis or through clathrin- and caveolin-independent pathway. Plays a major role in the determination of host range restriction and virulence. Class I viral fusion protein. Responsible for penetration of the virus into the cell cytoplasm by mediating the fusion of the membrane of the endocytosed virus particle with the endosomal membrane. Low pH in endosomes induces an irreversible conformational change in HA2, releasing the fusion hydrophobic peptide. Several trimers are required to form a competent fusion pore.
