Reconstitution and StorageAll conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
PurificationAffinity Purified

Subunitpi
Gene SymbolGabrp
Gene Full NameGamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) A receptor, pi
Alias SymbolsMGC38123
NCBI Gene Id216643
Protein NameGamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit pi
Description of TargetGABA, the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the vertebrate brain, mediates neuronal inhibition by binding to the GABA/benzodiazepine receptor and opening an integral chloride channel. In the uterus, the function of the receptor appears to be related to tissue contractility. The binding of this pI subunit with other GABA(A) receptor subunits alters the sensitivity of recombinant receptors to modulatory agents such as pregnanolone.
Uniprot IDQ8QZW7
Protein Accession #NP_666129
Nucleotide Accession #NM_146017
Protein Size (# AA)440
Molecular Weight50kDa
