ELISA Kit Principle | The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic (G6PC). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic (G6PC). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic (G6PC), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic (G6PC) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

| ||||||||||||||||||||||
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic (G6PC) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Glucose-6-Phosphatase, Catalytic (G6PC) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Name | glucose-6-phosphatase, catalytic |
Alias Symbols | AW107337;G6P;G6Pase;G6pc1;G6pt;Glc-6-;Glc-6-Pase;Glc-6-Pase-alpha;glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 1. |
NCBI Gene Id | 14377 |
Protein Name | Glucose-6-phosphatase |
Description of Target | Hydrolyzes glucose-6-phosphate to glucose in the endoplasmic reticulum. Forms with the glucose-6-phosphate transporter (SLC37A4/G6PT) the complex responsible for glucose production through glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis. Hence, it is the key enzyme in homeostatic regulation of blood glucose levels. |
