ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology G6PC ELISA Kit (Human) (OKDD00277) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay methodology. An antibody for G6PC has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips). Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for G6PC is added, incubated and removed. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample G6PC captured in well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
ELISA Kit Range | 0.156-10ng/mL | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level G6PC were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level G6PC were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12% | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Gene Symbol | G6PC1 |
---|---|
Gene Full Name | glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 1 |
Alias Symbols | G6Pase;G-6-Pase;G6Pase-alpha;G6PC;G6PT;glucose-6-phosphatase alpha;glucose-6-phosphatase catalytic subunit 1;GSD1;GSD1a. |
NCBI Gene Id | 2538 |
Protein Name | Glucose-6-phosphatase |
Description of Target | Hydrolyzes glucose-6-phosphate to glucose in the endoplasmic reticulum. Forms with the glucose-6-phosphate transporter (SLC37A4/G6PT) the complex responsible for glucose production through glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis. Hence, it is the key enzyme in homeostatic regulation of blood glucose levels. |
