:: | Product Introduction: Ecotin inhibits pancreatic serine proteases. Ecotin protein inhibits chymotrypsin, trypsin, elastases, factor X, kallikrein as well as a variety of other proteases. The power of inhibition is not linked to a specific protease specificity. Product Description: Ecotin produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 163 amino acids (21-162a.a.) and having a molecular mass of 18.3kDa. Ecotin is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques. |
Reconstitution and Storage | Store at 4C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20C for longer periods of time. Please avoid freeze thaw cycles. |
Formulation | The Ecotin protein solution (1mg/1ml) is formulated in 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH8.0) 1mM DTT, 50mM NaCl and 10% glycerol. |
Purification | Greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. |
