Datasheets/ManualsPrintable datasheet for DnaK Recombinant Protein (E.Coli) (OPED00039) (OPED00039)
Product Info
Predicted Species ReactivityEscherichia coli
Product FormatLiquid. In 40mM TRIS, pH 7.5, containing 80mM sodium chloride, 0.8mM DTT, 0.08mM PMSF, and 20% glycerol.
HostE. Coli
ApplicationELISA, WB
Additional InformationDnaK possesses an autophosphorylation activity and a weak 5-nucleotidase activity, cleaving the 5 phosphate groups from both ribose and deoxyribose nucleotides. The role of DnaK in ATP-dependent protein-protein interactions has been extended to normal E. Coli physiology, where, like eukaryotic Hsp70 homologs, it is thought to participate in the assembly/disassembly of protein complexes.
Reconstitution and StorageStore at -80C
PurificationPurified by multi-step chromatography.
Purity>95% (SDS-PAGE; Western blot)
Application InfoATPase activity assay (positive). Western blot control.

Gene SymboldnaK
Gene Full Namechaperone protein DnaK
Alias Symbolsb0014;chaperone protein DnaK;ECK0014;groPAB;groPC;groPF;grpC;grpF;Heat shock 70 kDa protein;Heat shock protein 70;HSP70;seg.
NCBI Gene Id944750
Protein NameChaperone protein DnaK
Description of TargetPlays an essential role in the initiation of phage lambda DNA replication, where it acts in an ATP-dependent fashion with the DnaJ protein to release lambda O and P proteins from the preprimosomal complex. DnaK is also involved in chromosomal DNA replication, possibly through an analogous interaction with the DnaA protein. Also participates actively in the response to hyperosmotic shock.
