ELISA Kit Duration | 2h, 40min
ELISA Kit Principle | The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to D-Amino Acid Oxidase (DAO). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to D-Amino Acid Oxidase (DAO). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the D-Amino Acid Oxidase (DAO) level in the sample or standard.
ELISA Kit Range | 13.7-10,000pg/mL
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level D-Amino Acid Oxidase (DAO) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level D-Amino Acid Oxidase (DAO) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Name | D-amino acid oxidase |
Alias Symbols | DAAO;D-amino-acid oxidase;DAMOX;OXDA. |
NCBI Gene Id | 1610 |
Protein Name | D-amino-acid oxidase |
Description of Target | Regulates the level of the neuromodulator D-serine in the brain. Has high activity towards D-DOPA and contributes to dopamine synthesis. Could act as a detoxifying agent which removes D-amino acids accumulated during aging. Acts on a variety of D-amino acids with a preference for those having small hydrophobic side chains followed by those bearing polar, aromatic, and basic groups. Does not act on acidic amino acids. |
