ELISA Kit Principle | The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Stromal Cell Derived Factor 1 (SDF1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Stromal Cell Derived Factor 1 (SDF1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Stromal Cell Derived Factor 1 (SDF1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Stromal Cell Derived Factor 1 (SDF1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Stromal Cell Derived Factor 1 (SDF1) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Stromal Cell Derived Factor 1 (SDF1) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Name | C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 12 |
Alias Symbols | chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 12 (stromal cell-derived factor 1);CXC chemokine;CXCL12 chemokine;SDF-1;stromal cell-derived factor 1. |
NCBI Gene Id | 494460 |
Protein Name | C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 12 |
Description of Target | This antimicrobial gene encodes a stromal cell-derived alpha chemokine member of the intercrine family. The encoded protein functions as the ligand for the G-protein coupled receptor, chemokine (C-X-C motif) receptor 4, and plays a role in many diverse cellular functions, including embryogenesis, immune surveillance, inflammation response, tissue homeostasis, and tumor growth and metastasis. Mutations in this gene are associated with resistance to human immunodeficiency virus type 1 infections. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. |
