ApplicationFlow cytometry
Reconstitution and Storage2°C to 8°C
ImmunogenSynthetic peptide corresponding to C terminal amino acids 208-222 of human CD79a
PurificationThe purified antibody is conjugated with cross-linked Allophycocyanin (APC) under optimum conditions. The conjugate is purified by size-exclusion chromatography and adjusted for direct use.
SpecificityThe mouse monoclonal antibody HM47 reacts with intracellular domain of CD79a (Ig alpha), a 40-45 kDa subunit of B cell antigen-specific receptor (BCR) and its early developmental forms.
FormulationAPC
Application InfoThe reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 10 μl reagent / 100 μl of whole blood or 106 cells in a suspension.
The content of a vial (1 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests.

Gene SymbolCD79A
Gene Full NameCD79a molecule
Alias SymbolsB-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein alpha chain;CD79a antigen (immunoglobulin-associated alpha);CD79a molecule, immunoglobulin-associated alpha;IGA;ig-alpha;MB-1;MB-1 membrane glycoprotein;membrane-bound immunoglobulin-associated protein;surface IgM-associated protein.
NCBI Gene Id973
Protein NameB-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein alpha chain
Description of TargetRequired in cooperation with CD79B for initiation of the signal transduction cascade activated by binding of antigen to the B-cell antigen receptor complex (BCR) which leads to internalization of the complex, trafficking to late endosomes and antigen presentation. Also required for BCR surface expression and for efficient differentiation of pro- and pre-B-cells. Stimulates SYK autophosphorylation and activation. Binds to BLNK, bringing BLNK into proximity with SYK and allowing SYK to phosphorylate BLNK. Also interacts with and increases activity of some Src-family tyrosine kinases. Represses BCR signaling during development of immature B-cells.
Uniprot IDP11912
Protein Accession #NP_001774.1; NP_067612.1
Nucleotide Accession #NM_001783.3; NM_021601.3
