  Product Introduction: Betaine-homocysteine methyltransferase (BHMT) is a cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of betaine and homocysteine to dimethylglycine and methionine, respectively. BHMT displays differential expression in a model of liver cirrhosis.
• Reconstitution and Storage: For periods up to 1 month store at 4C, for longer periods of time, store at -20C. Prevent freeze thaw cycles.

• Immunogen: The immunogen for anti-BHMT antibody: anti-human BHMT mAb is derived from hybridization of mouse SP2/O myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with recombinant human BHMT amino acids 1-406 purified from E. coli.
