ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology AURKB ELISA Kit (Human) (OKCD01854) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay technology. An antibody specific for AURKB has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips). Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for AURKB is added, incubated and followed by washing. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes to yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration is read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample AURKB captured in the well.
ELISA Kit Range | 0.156 - 10 ng/mL
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision: 3 samples with known low, middle and high level AURKB was tested with 20 replicates across one plate. Inter-assay Precision: 3 samples with known low, middle and high level AURKB was tested on three different plates with 8 replicates, respectively. Intra-Assay CV: <10% Inter-Assay CV: <12%

Description of Target | Serine/threonine-protein kinase component of the chromosomal passenger complex (CPC), a complex that acts as a key regulator of mitosis. The CPC complex has essential functions at the centromere in ensuring correct chromosome alignment and segregation and is required for chromatin-induced microtubule stabilization and spindle assembly. Involved in the bipolar attachment of spindle microtubules to kinetochores and is a key regulator for the onset of cytokinesis during mitosis. Required for central/midzone spindle assembly and cleavage furrow formation. Key component of the cytokinesis checkpoint, a process required to delay abscission to prevent both premature resolution of intercellular chromosome bridges and accumulation of DNA damage: phosphorylates CHMP4C, leading to retain abscission-competent VPS4 (VPS4A and/or VPS4B) at the midbody ring until abscission checkpoint signaling is terminated at late cytokinesis. |
