Reconstitution and StorageAll conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding.
ImmunogenThe immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human ATG4B
PurificationAffinity Purified
Predicted Homology Based on Immunogen SequenceCow: 92%; Dog: 93%; Guinea Pig: 100%; Human: 100%; Mouse: 93%; Rabbit: 85%; Rat: 100%

Gene Full NameATG4 autophagy related 4 homolog B (S. cerevisiae)
Alias SymbolsAPG4B, AUTL1
NCBI Gene Id23192
Protein NameCysteine protease ATG4B
Description of TargetAutophagy is the process by which endogenous proteins and damaged organelles are destroyed intracellularly. Autophagy is postulated to be essential for cell homeostasis and cell remodeling during differentiation, metamorphosis, non-apoptotic cell death, and aging. Reduced levels of autophagy have been described in some malignant tumors, and a role for autophagy in controlling the unregulated cell growth linked to cancer has been proposed. ATG4B is a member of the autophagin protein family, it is also designated as a member of the C-54 family of cysteine proteases. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.Autophagy is the process by which endogenous proteins and damaged organelles are destroyed intracellularly.
