---|---|
Product Format | Liquid. Purified antibody is supplied in high phosphate PBS, 100 mm phosphate, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.6. |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Host | Rabbit |
Conjugation | HRP: Horseradish Peroxidase |
Application | WB |
Reconstitution and Storage | All conjugated antibodies should be stored in light-protected vials or covered with a light protecting material (i.e. aluminum foil). Conjugated antibodies are stable for at least 12 months at 4C. If longer storage is desired (24 months), conjugates may be diluted with up to 50% glycerol and stored at -20C to -80C. Freezing and thawing conjugated antibodies will compromise enzyme activity as well as antibody binding. |
Immunogen | The immunogen is a synthetic peptide directed towards the N terminal region of human ATG4A |

Description of Target | Autophagy is the process by which endogenous proteins and damaged organelles are destroyed intracellularly. Autophagy is postulated to be essential for cell homeostasis and cell remodeling during differentiation, metamorphosis, non-apoptotic cell death, and aging. Reduced levels of autophagy have been described in some malignant tumors, and a role for autophagy in controlling the unregulated cell growth linked to cancer has been proposed. ATG4A is a member of the autophagin protein family. ATG4A is also designated as a member of the C-54 family of cysteine proteases.Autophagy is the process by which endogenous proteins and damaged organelles are destroyed intracellularly. Transcript variants that encode distinct isoforms have been identified. |
