ELISA Kit Principle | The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Wide-range Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Wide-range Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Wide-range Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Wide-range Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Wide-range Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Wide-range Apolipoprotein A5 (APOA5) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Name | apolipoprotein A-V |
Alias Symbols | 1300007O05Rik;Apoav;apolipoprotein A5;apolipoprotein A-V;R;RAP3;regeneration-associated protein 3. |
NCBI Gene Id | 66113 |
Protein Name | Apolipoprotein A-V |
Description of Target | Minor apolipoprotein mainly associated with HDL and to a lesser extent with VLDL. May also be associated with chylomicrons. Important determinant of plasma triglyceride (TG) levels by both being a potent stimulator of apo-CII lipoprotein lipase (LPL) TG hydrolysis and a inhibitor of the hepatic VLDL-TG production rate (without affecting the VLDL-apoB production rate). Activates poorly lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) and does not enhance efflux of cholesterol from macrophages (By similarity). |
