ELISA Kit Detection Method | Chemiluminescent | ||||||||||||||||||||||
ELISA Kit Duration | 2h, 40min | ||||||||||||||||||||||
ELISA Kit Principle | The microplate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Apoptotic Peptidase Activating Factor 1 (APAF1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microplate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Apoptotic Peptidase Activating Factor 1 (APAF1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then the mixture of substrate A and B is added to generate glow light emission kinetics. Upon plate development, the intensity of the emitted light is proportional to the Apoptotic Peptidase Activating Factor 1 (APAF1) level in the sample or standard. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
ELISA Kit Range | 13.7-10,000pg/mL | ||||||||||||||||||||||
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Apoptotic Peptidase Activating Factor 1 (APAF1) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Apoptotic Peptidase Activating Factor 1 (APAF1) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Symbol | APAF1 |
---|---|
Gene Full Name | apoptotic peptidase activating factor 1 |
Alias Symbols | APAF-1;apoptotic protease-activating factor 1;CED4. |
NCBI Gene Id | 317 |
Protein Name | Apoptotic protease-activating factor 1 |
Description of Target | Oligomeric Apaf-1 mediates the cytochrome c-dependent autocatalytic activation of pro-caspase-9 (Apaf-3), leading to the activation of caspase-3 and apoptosis. This activation requires ATP. Isoform 6 is less effective in inducing apoptosis. |
