ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology ANGPTL1 ELISA Kit (Human) (OKDD00122) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay methodology. An antibody for ANGPTL1 has been pre-coated onto a 96-wellplate (12 x 8 Well Strips). Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for ANGPTL1 is added, incubated and removed. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm and is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample ANGPTL1 captured in well.
ELISA Kit Range | 0.156-10ng/mL
ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level ANGPTL1 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level ANGPTL1 were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-Assay: CV<12% | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

Protein Name | Angiopoietin-related protein 1 |
Description of Target | Angiopoietins are members of the vascular endothelial growth factor family and the only known growth factors largely specific for vascular endothelium. Angiopoietin-1, angiopoietin-2, and angiopoietin-4 participate in the formation of blood vessels. The protein encoded by this gene is another member of the angiopoietin family that is widely expressed in adult tissues with mRNA levels highest in highly vascularized tissues. This protein was found to be a secretory protein that does not act as an endothelial cell mitogen in vitro. |
