• Additional Information: Background: The leukotrienes constitute a group of arachidonic acid-derived compounds with biologic activities suggesting important roles in inflammation and immediate hypersensitivity. These compounds are catabolized, in part, by lipoxygenases. Epidermis-type lipoxygenases, a distinct subclass within the multigene family of mammalian lipoxygenases, are novel isoenzymes isolated from human and mouse skin including human ALOX15B (MIM 603697), human and mouse ALOX12B (MIM 603741), mouse 8S-LOX, and mouse e-LOX-3.[supplied by OMIM]

• Reconstitution and Storage: Keep as concentrated solution. Aliquot and store at -20C or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
• Immunogen: Recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 1 and 294 of ALOXE3 (Uniprot ID#Q9BYJ1)
• Purification: Purified by antigen-affinity chromatography.

• Application Info: Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: WB: 1:500-1:3000, IHC-P: 1:100-1:1000 [suggested antigen retrieval using heat mediated 10mM Citrate buffer (pH6.0) or Tris-EDTA buffer (pH8.0)]. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.
• Storage Buffer: 0.1M Tris, 0.1M Glycine, 10% Glycerol (pH7). 0.01% Thimerosal was added as a preservative.
