ELISA Kit Principle | Aviva Systems Biology ADIPOR1 ELISA Kit (Human) (OKEH01571) is based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immuno-sorbent assay technology. An antibody specific for ADIPOR1 has been pre-coated onto a 96-well plate (12 x 8 Well Strips) and blocked. Standards or test samples are added to the wells, incubated and removed. A biotinylated detector antibody specific for ADIPOR1 is added, incubated and followed by washing. Avidin-Peroxidase Conjugate is then added, incubated and unbound conjugate is washed away. An enzymatic reaction is produced through the addition of TMB substrate which is catalyzed by HRP generating a blue color product that changes yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow coloration read by absorbance at 450 nm is quantitatively proportional to the amount of sample ADIPOR1 captured in well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Gene Full Name | adiponectin receptor 1 |
Alias Symbols | ACDCR1, adiponectin receptor protein 1, CGI-45, CGI45, PAQR1, progestin and adipoQ receptor family member 1, progestin and adipoQ receptor family member I, TESBP1A. |
NCBI Gene Id | 51094 |
Protein Name | Adiponectin receptor protein 1 |
Description of Target | Receptor for ADIPOQ, an essential hormone secreted by adipocytes that regulates glucose and lipid metabolism (PubMed:25855295, PubMed:12802337). Required for normal glucose and fat homeostasis and for maintaining a normal body weight. ADIPOQ-binding activates a signaling cascade that leads to increased AMPK activity, and ultimately to increased fatty acid oxidation, increased glucose uptake and decreased gluconeogenesis. Has high affinity for globular adiponectin and low affinity for full-length adiponectin (By similarity). |
