ELISA Kit Principle | The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||

ELISA Kit Reproducibility | Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme 2 (ACE2) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. Gene Full Name | angiotensin I converting enzyme (peptidyl-dipeptidase A) 2 |
Alias Symbols | 2010305L05Rik;ACE-related carboxypeptidase;angiotensin I converting enzyme 2;angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. |
NCBI Gene Id | 70008 |
Protein Name | Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 |
Description of Target | Carboxypeptidase which converts angiotensin I to angiotensin 1-9, a peptide of unknown function, and angiotensin II to angiotensin 1-7, a vasodilator. Also able to hydrolyze apelin-13 and dynorphin-13 with high efficiency. May be an important regulator of heart function. May have a protective role in acute lung injury. |
