Datasheets/Manuals | Printable datasheet for PRDM1 Antibody (OARA03181) |
---|
Predicted Species Reactivity | Human |
---|---|
Product Format | Liquid (sterile filtered) |
Clonality | Polyclonal |
Host | Rabbit |
Conjugation | Unconjugated |
Application | Chromatin immunoprecipitation|Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay|Immunohistochemistry|Immunoprecipitation|Western blot |
Reconstitution and Storage | Store vial at -20C or below prior to opening. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. This product is stable at 4C for several weeks as an undiluted liquid. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of opening. |
Immunogen | Anti-Blimp1 antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region near the C-terminus of human, mouse, and rat PRDM1/BLIMP1. |
Purification | The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography. |
Concentration | 1 mg/ml |
Specificity | This antibody is predicted to react with BLIMP1 and its isoforms from human, mouse, rat and other sources based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. This antibody may also recognize other proteins that show high homology/identity with the BLIMP1 sequence. |
Application Info | ELISA 1:20000~40000 IP 5-10 ug/mL WB 1:1000 IHC-P 5 ug/ml This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, and western blotting. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at ~88 kDa in size corresponding to BLIMP1 by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. |

Description of Target | Transcription factor that mediates a transcriptional program in various innate and adaptive immune tissue-resident lymphocyte T cell types such as tissue-resident memory T (Trm), natural killer (trNK) and natural killer T (NKT) cells and negatively regulates gene expression of proteins that promote the egress of tissue-resident T-cell populations from non-lymphoid organs (PubMed:27102484). Plays a role in the development, retention and long-term establishment of adaptive and innate tissue-resident lymphocyte T cell types in non-lymphoid organs, such as the skin and gut, but also in other nonbarrier tissues like liver and kidney, and therefore may provide immediate immunological protection against reactivating infections or viral reinfection (PubMed:27102484). Binds specifically to the PRDI element in the promoter of the beta-interferon gene (By similarity). Drives the maturation of B-lymphocytes into Ig secreting cells (By similarity). Associates with the transcriptional repressor ZNF683 to chromatin at gene promoter regions (PubMed:27102484). |
